The Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU). The Linz School of Education (LSE) at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), Austria, advances teacher education, educational research, and learning innovation. As a key player in Austria’s education sector, LSE integrates social sciences, educational sciences, and STEM to enhance teacher training and policies. It offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs for secondary education and conducts research on educational innovation, including arts in education, STEAM, digital learning, inclusion, and diversity. LSE collaborates with schools, policymakers, and research institutions to drive evidence-based improvements. With around 50 academic staff, it engages student teachers, researchers, and educators across Austria and beyond. Committed to innovative teaching and learning, LSE integrates arts and sciences in education, exemplified by the Circus of Knowledge (Zirkus des Wissens), which merges artistic expression with scientific concepts through performances and workshops to spark curiosity and learning.
Role: JKU will contribute to all the WPs of the project but mainly to the efforts of framework development(WP2) to the development of the training programme and learning material(WP3), to all training activities (WP5) and community building in Austria (WP4). JUK as a university that provides initial training for teachers is highly committed in updating its own education programme with the outcomes of the STEAM NEXT STEP Academy as well as with its accreditation.
